American Citizens United
Illegal Immigration Facts
  1. Illegal Alien labor is not needed to pick our produce. Any rise in the price of fruits/vegetables is negligible if we deport all Illegal Aliens.

2. Illegal Aliens are a net drain. More tax revenue is spent on them than is collected from them. This is according to a Congressional Budget Office study.

3. Illegal Aliens Depress Wages and Innovations.  In Arizona they’ve depressed wages by $1.4 Billion.

4. Illegal Aliens are a financial burden over their lifetime. The fiscal cost of low wage/ low skilled immigrants can cost taxpayers over 1.1 million dollars over the lifetime of that immigrant's household. Multiply that by millions of households and you are looking at Trillions of dollars.

5. Illegal Aliens destroy American Jobs. Economists will tell you that for every Billion dollars added to our trade deficit, that translates into the loss of 20,000 American Jobs. In 2005, $20.6 Billion dollars in remittances were sent to Mexico alone. So that means 412,000 jobs in 2005 were lost because of those remittances. Imagine doing the math for remittances to all countries and for the past 10 years, the job loss would be in the millions. So illegal aliens cost the United States thousands of jobs every year by sending the money back home instead of shoring up America's economy and spending their money here.

6. Between 2158 to 4380 thousand Americans are killed annually by Illegal Aliens. That's more than were killed on 9-11. More die in one year than all American combat deaths so far in Iraq.

7. 1,000,000 Sex Crimes Have Been Committed by Illegals Since 1999

From January of 1999 to April of 2006, 960,000 sex crimes were committed by Illegal Aliens according to a study by Deborah Schurman-Kauflin, Ph.D. But as of April of 2008 the number is well past past a million by now. The Chandler Rapist is just the tip of the IceBerg when it comes to sexual crimes committed by Illegal Aliens.

  1. 93 sex offenders and 12 serial sex offenders come across the border every day.
  2. The average age of the victim is 6 years old.
  3. Each serial rapist has an average of 5 victims.
  4. Average age of the Illegal Alien sex offender was 27.
  5. Illegal Alien Offenders had the use of a vehicle 78 percent of the time.
  6. Only 22% of the Illegal Alien Offenders have graduated high school.
  7. Nearly 63 percent had been deported on another offense prior to the sex crime.
  8. Offenders engaged in Sodomy 67% of the time in their attacks.
  9. 18 percent of the victims were molested by strangers. In those instances, the illegal immigrants typically gained access to the victims after having worked as a day laborer at or near the victims’ home.

8. In 1980, our Federal and state facilities held fewer than 9,000 criminal aliens but at the end of 2003, approximately 267,000 illegal aliens were incarcerated in U.S. correctional facilities, as follows
46,000 in Federal prisons
74,000 in state prisons
147,000 in local jails
Approximately 27% of all prisoners in Federal custody are criminal illegal aliens and the majority (63%) of those are Mexican citizens.

In April 2005, the GAO released a report on a study of 55,322 illegal aliens incarcerated in federal, state, and local facilities. It found the following:
Of the 55,322 illegal aliens studied, researchers found that they were arrested a total of 459,614 times, averaging about 8 arrests per illegal alien.
They were arrested for a total of about 700,000 criminal offenses, averaging about 13 offenses per illegal alien.
49% had previously been convicted of a felony, 20% of a drug offense; 18% a violent offense, and 11%, other felony offenses.
81% of the arrests occurred after 1990
56% of those charged with a reentry offense had previously been convicted on at least 5 prior occasions.
Defendants charged with unlawful reentry had the most extensive criminal histories. 90% had been previously arrested. Of those with a prior arrest, 50% had been arrested for violent or drug-related felonies.

9. Illegal Aliens are bankrupting our health care system. Between 1993 and 2003, 60 hospitals in California closed down because half their services became unpaid. Even ambulances from Mexico go to California because the drivers know the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act of 1985 (EMTALA) requires hospitals to accept a patient that comes within 250 yards of the hospital. In 2003 Medical had 760,000 Illegal Aliens, up from 2002 when there were only 470,000.

10. Illegal Aliens attack U.S. Border Patrol Agents on a routine basis. The Department of Homeland Security said there have been 231 documented incursions by Mexican military and law enforcement personnel into the U.S. since 1996. U.S. border patrol agents have been attacked nearly a 1000 times from September of 2006 to September of 2007.
