The City Attorney's Office for Phoenix has banned City Employees from signing the recall petition.  A clear violation of a person's Constitutional Rights.  Please be sure to let the mayor and the attorney, Gary Verburg know what you think.

American Citizens United has just obtained the petitions from the printer.   Our heartfelt thanks goes out to our printer, Jerry Saraydar, for making them a priority for us.  Jerry was also given the honor of being the first person to sign the petition.  Those interested in circulating petitions will be contacted shortly and then those who wish to sign the petition will be notified next.  American Citizens United appreciated everyone’s patience during the printing process.

On April 30, 2008, American Citizens United officially filed a recall petition with the City of Phoenix Clerk's Office to recall Mayor Phil Gordon.  The group now has 120 days to collect the necessary signatures to force a recall election.   A total of 23,751 valid signatures are required.  Upon the City Clerk verifying the signatures, Mayor Phil Gordon may either step down as mayor or face a special recall election.
